(dogs are welcome too. :D )

This journal is 99% friends only. The 1% that is open to the public consists of stories and the occasional odd entry. However, most of my stories can be found over at [info]nolonger19.

If you're curious about who I am, you can look at my info page and interests (which need to be updated). If you're curious about what I write about in my journal, look at my tags. If you like what you see, feel free to friend me and leave a comment here. I'll take a look at your journal and most likely friend you back.

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Feel free to ignore; this is just a list of plot bunnies that have floated in my head at various times in the last year, some of which I have mentioned before, and others I haven't mentioned at all.

Sara and/or Beth: do you want to get together tonight? I'll call/text you later on unless you call/text/email me first.

Looking out and seeing nothing but a sea of fog as far as the eye can see is something quite spectacular.

Currently in Wichita to help the bro move out of his apartment. He seems to expect us to do the cleaning for him. Yeeeeah, I don't think so.

tech support
I am so pissed off at Mozilla Firefox that I actually opened up Internet Explorer. Firefox was working just fine until I had to reset my computer. When I went to download the browser, it was a newer version than the one I had before. Now I'm having all sorts of problems. The browser freezing up, issues with running scripts, facebook not wanting to work...

Does anyone have any advice? Like a better browser? Or something? I usually like Firefox, but I'm getting tired of all the issues.

Taken from [info]nextian:

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

I choose due South, since I've never actually written in the fandom before. So, if these suck (and they probably do), that is why.

Oh, what the heck. Maybe I'll actually be able to write something.

As I'm sure several of you have heard, Dr. George Tiller was shot in his church this morning in Wichita, Kansas. You might have heard, but a suspect was arrested in Gardner, Kansas. The suspect might be from Merriam, Kansas.

I don't like to talk about politics. This is because my family has views one way, and my friends have views another way. I, myself, am a Moderate. Some issues I swing one way, some issues I swing the other.

I believe that abortion should be for cases of rape, or incest. A woman who is in that situation should have the right to decide if she wants to have the child.

However, I do not believe in late term abortion.

That does not mean I think the killing was a good thing. It absolutely wasn't. A person should never be murdered. There is absolutely no excuse for what the killer did. None what-so-ever.

I respect everyone's views, whether they're liberal or conservative, left-wing or right-wing. So please don't hate me for expressing mine.

[prompted by this]

Her father hadn't wanted her to become a Mountie. She was his little girl, and he knew that Mounties sometimes died in the line of duty. He didn't want to lose her like he lost her mother. He had her live with her grandparents, hoping that living with a couple of librarians might get the idea out of her head.

Unfortunately, that plan failed.

It's not that he wasn't proud of her. Quite the contrary. Seeing her in that bright red uniform, hat on straight, filled his heart with so much pride. It's just that it also filled his heart with fear and dread. He had a feeling that someday soon they would be parted by not just two thousand miles, but by death.

He didn't realize he would be the one dying.

"Can I help you?"

"Yes. Constable Iris Fraser, Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I'm looking for the officer in charge of this case..."

[Because I cannot not imagine Iris saying "Thank you kindly." She totally would. Her wolf would be named Artemis, after the Greek goddess of the moon. And along with Inuit stories, she would tell stories of the Greeks (as a child, she found that section of the library quite fascinating.)]

Two of my friends have this adorable cat, Dogwood. However, due to various reasons, they need to find him a new home. The post with all the information is here. There are also several pictures of Dogwood here

Please, if you know anyone who can take him in, or might know someone, or you can do it yourself, take a look at the post. Pass the word on. It would so much to my friends to know that Dogwood is going to a good home.
just a painter and drawing a blank
I'm finally listening to Fall Out Boy's newest CD. The sound of it is slightly different. And there are no lyrics in the booklet. :( But I still like it so far. Plus, Patrick Stump singing. I'm slightly in love with his singing. Maybe more than slightly. If there came a time that he was no longer Fall Out Boy's lead singer, I would probably stop listening to the group. It just wouldn't be the same.

My addiction to Fallout 3 has reached a new point: now I'm thinking of fanfic crossovers with it. Like SGA, and Doctor Who. They probably won't get written, but that doesn't stop me of thinking of them.

Gotta get up at 530 tomorrow morning. Hmm. Maybe I won't even sleep. I can always sleep in the car for the six hour drive...

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

Everyone, meet Gander.

Back a year ago, exactly to the day, I did that music meme where you guess the song from the lyrics. I promised each person a ficlet for each song they got write. Well, I only 6 out of the 9 promised fics done. *shifty* Until last night.

So... I'm sorry they're a year late. I'm also sorry if they're utter crap. I'm not that happy with them myself. I just wanted to get them done with, and it's been a while since I've really written in either fandom.

Anyway! Here they are. Three ficlet thingies, in two different fandoms.

[info]rymenhild wanted pairing-free Harry Potter, possibly involving classes at Hogwarts. It doesn't really have any classes, but it does have Hogwarts. I hope this works.

Circle of Life :: Harry Potter (post book 7) :: 927 words )

[info]vivien529 wanted something HP with Tom Riddle. Therefore, Tom Riddle back at Hogwarts.

Garden :: Harry Potter (Tom Riddle centric) :: 476 words )

[info]crazedcrasader wanted Buffyverse, with Faith and Willow discussing mistakes and redemption. I'm really really really sorry if this one sucks. *winces*

I Don’t Give :: Buffy the Vampire Slayer :: 761 words )

*slips away to endulge self in slash and secret lives*
